It will be interesting to see what happens if the mother of the 2 bombers actually comes to the US. She has an arrest warrant out for shoplifting $1600 worth of clothing last year. Fine, upstanding family...

Sounds like blowback for all the wars we are in. The CIA said 911 was blowback for occupying and trying to tell middle eastern countries how to run their country. Maybe we should save some money and keep our noses out of the Middle East. Everyone says we are doing it for cheap oil, but the results aren't there. A gallon of gas was $1.20 in 1996, now it's $3.50. Nothing like spending a couple trillion on these wars and all we get is blowback, 3x gas prices and soldiers away from their families for 10-15 months at a time. Maybe the suiteless puppets we have running this country can start caring about society instead of enriching themselves and their crony capitalist buddies.

Revoke citizenship, declare him terrorist, strip all his rights of being US citizen. Case closed. Who wants to appeal, expense out of their pocket, and given 30 days, no more, if they can raise reasonable doubts. Don't let his case waste taxpayer's money.

If we're going to revoke citizenship and declare them enemy combatants, why aren't we starting with the shooters in Arizona and Colorado? They were also American citizens and killed more people than these guys did. Are mass shooters okay because red blooded Americans kill each other with guns, not bombs? When you use a bomb, suddenly you're a terrorist? The federal government has an outstanding record of convicting domestic terrorists, and the same will happen here. There's no reason to tear up the Constitution, which Republicans advocate until it comes to the 2nd Amendment. 30,000 people are killed by guns in this country every year. 3,000 Americans have been killed by terrorists in the last 12 years. But that's a whole different discussion.

shakingcold: "Revoke citizenship, declare him terrorist, strip all his rights of being US citizen." That's the behavior of dictators. It represents the end of the rule of law, the end of an independent justice system, the end of democracy, and the end of citizenship as a meaningful concept. Even non-citizens in the US enjoy basic government-granted rights in the justice system. What you're calling for is the end of "Ameriesic pr baca" as defined as a set of basic political principles. It's sad to see people who are so uneducated about these basic principles, or are unable to recognize them in action, and/or are don't value these principles and rights. The next person the government could take citizenship and basic rights away from without a trial or any sort of due process, or any formal inquiry thus based on a mere declaration rather than finding of fact or proven guilt is you yourself.

vampress_me, I gave you a thumbs down. Apologize I haven't been closely following that sideshow but I'll change it, just give me a legit source and I'll be more than happy. Totally believe in Miranda rights. If the US violated those terms, then he should be let go. I think a prop plane or sailboat, fully stocked for his solo journey back to Europe, should be given. Thumbs up for justice!

Look...he was about to tell us something...so lets close our ears. Look, our continent has our own oil, but lets not drill for it and let's not transport it with a controversial pipeline...the FIRST controversial pipeline in history I may add. And as for those "couple of wars"....they were before or after 9/11? Look again...America is in decline. And Obama is leading the charge on that one! But with half the country loving the guy - Obama, we only have our selves to blame...so... May as well throw in the towel...and let Djoker go. He won't do it again.

It sure has been fun watching the talking heads over at Faux Noise and the usual rightie "freedom lovin'" patriots that comment here, eagerly want to trash amendment after amendment of the Constitution. Apparently, they just like the second one...

Why were officers firing 200 rounds at an unarmed man in a boat? How come the suspect was able to leave the boat unassisted but supposedly suffered severe injuries? This whole situation is very fishy, officials aren't able to keep up with all the lies they're spreading. I'm not saying the brothers are innocent but there's a lot more to this story.
