Its probably because most of the parents are still hanging at the White House or on Air Force One rehearsing for the next Obama/Biden show.

Looks pretty obvious to me. Even the local residents understand that the Sandy Hook killer is dead now and the likelihood of this crime ever happening again is nearly zero.

Just another liberal move. Everyone should be ashamed that the feds didn't stomp on our 2nd amendment, but "they" should not have to pay for more security.

I agree. It looks to me like in the face of great tragedy, the people have decided that wasting money on unnecessary security is fool hardy. They choose not to live their lives in fear. And they respectfully are trying to tell the rest of the country that perhaps we can do some things to lower the risks of such tragedies happening that one time in their communities. It is not an inconsistent message at all.
