This a total farce. To say a 10% reduction in the work force will cause a 3 hour delay is silly. Could there be a work slow down? Yes, but it won't be because of a 10% reduction in the daily work force.

Geez, I wish I could sue the government everytime I'm late for work because of overcrowded roads.

While I sympathize with the airlines and pilots, this is indicative of what is wrong with politics in the U.S. The average citizen does not have any recourse when bills passed (or not passed) in Washington affect their livelihoods. Nobody cares when the current austerity meme leaves thousands unemployed, but when it starts costing corporations money, even as they sit on billions of dollars in profit, then something must be done!

Here's an idea - let the industry pony up the money to keep the extra people on the job. Next!

See the USA in your Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, NIssan, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Suburu or whatever other vehicle you might have. If the airlines want to retain their customer base they're going to have to use larger planes that fly less often. Welcome to sequester Corporate America!

The furloughs don't begin until next week? What about that story in the Strib a couple of weeks ago blaming delays at the airport on the sequester? I wonder if that story was up for Pulitzer.

Yep. This will be just like planes flying into neighborhoods, kids starving, massive floods because some gauges were shut down. Blah, blah, blah. These scare tactics will accomplish one thing. They will show how bloated our government has become under massive spending liberal fools. ----------------------------------------------------------------Senior TSA official says no furloughs or increased wait times because of automatic budget cuts Article by: RICHARD LARDNER , Associated Press Updated: April 18, 2013 - 7:07 PM

Mr Obama wants the cuts to HURT. The TSA would rather spend 50 million dollars on new uniforms that they ordered and furlough people because they also want it to HURT.

Send a letter to "my way or the highway" President Obama, the great divider!

Obama's administration was already caught read handed ordering that cuts be as painful as possible and that department heads were not to make cuts that were "not consistant with what the administration said they would be" Only a child would act this way. Don't get his way, Obama makes everyone else suffer.
