Years After 911 The US Borders Are Still Open, US Ports Are Not Secured, Terrorists and Illegal Aliens Still Enter the US, Violence from Foreign Gangs Increases Daily, Expired Visa Holders Still Roam Freely
Drugs/Weapons/Terrorists Still Flow Freely Across US Borders. Sanctuary Cities Aid, Abet and Shield Terrorists and criminal Illegal Aliens from Federal Immigration Law. Terrorist drug cartel violence is spilling over the Mexican border into the United States. It is pretty obvious that many in Congress have been bought, sold and corrupted to keep the borders/ports from being secured. We have allowed our representatives from both parties in Congress to get away with inaction on these pressing issues. We have failed those that died on 911 by not learning from our mistakes yet we continue to take no action. We should be ashamed of ourselves.
Immigration is all about holding wages down and big business will not let congress pass anything that secures our borders.
The U.S. spent $18 billion on immigration enforcement in the 2012 fiscal year, which is more than every other federal law enforcement agency combined.
Border crossings are at 40-year low: At the same time, illegal border crossings have dropped to their lowest level since the Nixon administration, and net undocumented migration is at or below zero. Meanwhile, annual deportations at a historic high.
Most parts of the border are already secure: Even with fewer people apprehended at the border, border agents now patrol every single mile of the border every day. The vast majority of the border already meets one of Homeland Security’s highest standards of security, and there are 21,370 agents, along with six unmanned aircraft systems.
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) “There is no question, there has been a significant reduction in illegal crossings over the past five years”

More immigration is not going to make US safer. This so-called immigration reform was crafted behind closed doors by special interest groups, and by corrupted self-serving politicians. This is not what the country wants or needs or is in our best interests. This is the same as the 1986 Reagan amnesty only bigger, 10 times bigger! Back then promises were made to secure the borders, crackdown on illegal employers etc......and the promises they made were broken. 11 million illegals or more today, 1 to 3 million back in 1986. The facts speak for themselves America. So, not believe them, don't be fooled again America.
This immigration bill was crafted behind closed doors America. And now they are trying to rush it through to passage before we know what is in it! That alone tells you that its a bad bill and not good for you or the country. Slow down and take your time, and do it right. And in the meantime, arrest and deport the 11 million or more illegal criminal aliens now in our country, because that is the law.
Yes it does and it should improve it. Because there is a lot of room for improvement in this immigration bill. Lots or room because its a bad bill as currently written, and it will make US less safe from terrorists and criminals who want to come, and are coming, to America to do US harm.
what is it about "The U.S. spent $18 billion on immigration enforcement in the 2012 fiscal year, which is more than every other federal law enforcement agency combined." and "border agents now patrol every single mile of the border every day. The vast majority of the border already meets one of Homeland Security’s highest standards of security, and there are 21,370 agents, along with six unmanned aircraft systems." don't understand? If a Republican had done as much they'd sing his praises but partisan extremism doesn't allow them to give this admin it due. That's OK because it keeps showing how irrational their hatred is.
Immigration is a thing from the past. We do not have vast tracts of land to be found here in our current America. America was founded by people from Europe and those people had skills to start with and America was a white and European start. That is why we speak English and not spanish. And America grew up to be the most powerful nation that there ever was or will be. But now why are we allowing more and more brown people and black people with few skills and litte with English? At the rate America is sliding down on a greased pole, we will become just one more country, not a superpower that we were. This is the truth, people. And in about 26 or 27 years the caucasian people will be become another minority. What a future! Less skilled people, less learned Americans and less English. Do you have your ticket punched?
caiman---Does the brown, black and yellow persons we imported to do the backbreaking work to create the industrial revolution have nothing to do with our prosperity? Where would the US be today if we ONLY relied on the European "whites" for all the labor. Not all "white" people speak English, either. Just go to the Iron Range and find out how many different languages were spoken in the mines. They stayed and educated their children by always supporting it with their hard-earned taxes. So, we have depended on brown, black, yellow people for centuries and we will depend on them for the future. It is what has made us a great country; not because it started out as an European White country.
