Vikes will be spending a first rounder and probably a 4th rounder on d-line. The 23rd 0r 25th pick in the first round will bring bluechip talent to the vikes as the draft is strong and deep at "D"-line. With the depth at WR in the draft, it would not surprise me if the Vikes took a CB with their other 1st rounder.

i would be elated to come out of the 1st round with the DT sly williams and the cb trufant there is a nice chance both will still be there at 23,25.

The draft positions for defensive tackle and wide receiver are fairly deep in talent so I just don't think the Vikings are going to go with either of those positions in the first round. I would guess that middle linebacker and cornerback will be the first round targets and then they will start looking for the defensive tackles, wide receivers, and other positions. They pretty much did things that way last year when they drafted Harrison Smith and Matt Kalil early. The positions that have just a few standout players are the positions to target early.
