Meanwhile, the NRA continues to vigorously defend the rights of bombers everywhere in the US to purchase as much gunpowder as they wish, with no restrictions on their rights by the government! In related news, the majority of Republican senators and a few Democrats voted against any restrictions for bombers to purchase their gunpowder.
"there is a piece of Boston in me"
What? After his rehearsed act of sympathy/empathy spaz yesterday, who can take this guy seriously? Can you imagine if Boston would've happened on a GOP watch? The press would be railing him/her for allowing a terrorist attack.
The guy is an embarrassment to America.
What a different tone his speechwriters took here. He could easily have given this same speech after sandy hook, yet as a political leader he chose the partisan political route then. I think that's all anyone needs to know about the last three years of this occupation.
Very impressive and heart felt. Great job.
Saudi National Once Considered ‘Person of Interest’ in the Boston Marathon bombings is Being Deported on ‘Security’ Grounds. The Saudi national is a member of a well-connected Saudi family and that his deportation was set to be framed as a “voluntary” departure to be with his family. INTERESTING!!!
Anyone else think its odd that the AP have issued a correction re: the anonymous arrest tip yesterday, Obama has an unscheduled meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister and the announcement that the well connected Saudi who was the person of interest in Boston is now being deported by Obama for "security reason" which even ICE says is very unusual? Something not right in Hope, Change and Transparency land.
"Very impressive and heart felt. Great job." - Maybe. The thing is that his acting ability has been trotted out so often, you can never tell which is the man, and which is the party suit anymore. I still can't believe anyone this dishonet got elected a second time. It doesn't speak well for our process.
Was this a campaign rally speech or a memorial service? President Ego greets those attending the service with a rousing "Hello Boston!" like it was a concert or sporting event. He then makes the service all about him - "I've walked these streets, I know this city, there is a piece of Boston in me, blah, blah, blah." Leave it to Obama to make a church service all about him. The man is an embarrassment.
Honors the dead? Shouldn't that be 'mourns' the dead?
The "Boston Sports" analogy at the end was classless and sounded like a campaign speech. Other than that, it was predictable but OK. I suppose his writers had to come up with something on the fly.
