There is really no problem. Soon all manufacturing will be controlled by the State and you will be assigned your place in life. You will be grateful to the State. Long live the State.

"Despite the difficulty, most employers do not plan to spend more on developing employees".....and yet, they expect a new employee to jump in at full production capacity for less and less pay. This is the sorry story of American manufacturing and the greed of the CEOs.

A shortage of manufacturing workers? Maybe if manufacturers weren't cutting back on pay and benefits, maybe if they provided training there wouldn't be a shortage of workers. In a "free market" the law of supply and demand would require manufacturers to pony up. But they know they can just ship the jobs offshore. No problem.

"In that study, labor market economists found that manufacturers frequently reported concern about the 'job-skills gap.' Yet many admitted that they were not paying competitive wages and that they had no plans to provide on-the-job training or to alter strict educational and experience requirements for candidates." So, they are waiting for Santa Clause to leave them under the tree? Seems to me that if the manufactures can't understand that simple relationship, they can't really be trusted to forecast their business or to understand anything more complicated than opening a bag of chips. Perhaps the skills gap isn't on the production floor.

We all know what this is about; Obamacare, which will be the single most damaging legislation ever forced on America. Remember, not a single republican voted for this massive job killing tax.

The reason not a single Republican voted for RomneyCare is because the name got changed to ObamaCare. That's quite a crystal ball you have to be able to declare it "will be the single most damaging legislation" ever. The Group Of Pretenders is certainly bent upon making it so. Time will tell..
