Surly buys Minneapolis site for $20 million brewery

The company bought land for a “destination brewery” in Minneapolis’ Prospect Park neighborhood that could open by 2014.

Yippee, Another place where I can spend my cash before/after games at TCF Stadium, in contrast to the $7+ slop sold at the games.

YAY! As a Prospect Park resident I am thrilled that Surly is coming to our neighborhood! This whole area is undergoing a renaissance and is going to be a great destination and remain a great place to live.

YUM, and tax payer funded loans/grants. I don't see anyone else jumping at that land, I'll support a grant and loan for someone to clean up that land and build a brewery/tourist attraction that makes money for the state & city, good for MPLS! And it's good beer! If you don't like it just be thankful it's not a Mike's Hard Lemonade brewery moving in.
