The Timberwolves departed Target Center for yet another season with Monday’s 96-80 loss to Utah that wasn’t in any way how they wanted to say goodbye.

Some "Fan Appreciation" event, huh? I heard they were giving away 'game-worn' jerseys after the game. I'm guessing they barely had a drop of sweat on them after that weak performance. How about next time they give the jerseys away to the fans BEFORE the game and let them play instead. The game might actually be more competitive.

The Wolves were just going through the motions last night. Lackluster play pretty much everywhere; horrible shooting, silly mistakes, little to no rebounding, especially on the offensive end, run and gun with no one under the boards to rebound and so forth. The audience looked bored as was I. I finally switched the channel to something more entertaining and with better acting.

We arrived at Target Center early, hopeful for a fun evening full of the kind of spunky, energetic, committed play we have come to know, love and expect from our beloved Timberwolves. We left sad. Sure, we would have loved a win. But more than that, we wanted to see our guys play! For the most part, as coach Adelman said, they just didn't have it tonight. Not having Pekovic these last few games was a blow, certainly. And they have played some ridiculous number of games in the past 7 days or so. I know they're tired. But it's their JOB! Nobody changed their faces tonight. And we left disappointed. It wasn't the season send-off we wanted. We'll be back in the fall. I hope to see a re-energized team, still led by Rick Adelman. I dearly, dearly want to see the Wolves in the playoffs in 2014. C'mon, guys! Let's make it happen.
