Even though it overstays its welcome, the new play “Nice Fish,” set on a frozen lake, is a wild ride into the depths of existence.

I have been a season ticket holder for many years. Some productions may not be my favorite, but Nice Fish was the most boring production I have ever seen at the Guthrie! What a waste of a beautiful theater are our time. My guest and I left at intermission as did many other people. Very slow, too long, not funny...not Guthrie!!

You missed the point of this play completely, Graydon. This was the language of poetry wrapped into a fable, representing the lessons of real life. To the lady above, by leaving at intermission, you missed everything that that you thought boring, as moving towards a story that had gut wrenching written all over it. I suppose in your opinions, as well, that new work, is NOT Guthrie as well. It was nice to see a new piece that I would seek out in another city. Thank you, Joe.
