Sounds like a good law untl your overly obese 15-year old daughter comes home and announces that she just discovered that she was made pregnant by one of the oil-rigging boys 22-weeks ago. Don't laugh...I met several mothers that came in for exploratory surgery only to find that what is actually "wrong" with them is that they are pregnant.

Once again, MEN making laws for women's reproductive rights. Let's start playing fair then, we need some laws on men's reproductive rights as well. Who's going to be the first politician to address this issue?????

As if we needed yet another reason to stay out of NoDak. There's a reason they have the lowest population of any state in the nation and it ain't just the cold.

In addition to the fetal heartbeat measure, Dalrymple also signed a measure that bans abortions because a fetus has genetic defects such as Down syndrome and one requiring a doctor who performs abortions to be a physician with hospital-admitting privileges. All of the measures would take effect Aug. 1, and are fueled in part by an attempt to close the state's sole abortion clinic in Fargo. *** If Dalrymple's looking for more outrageous bills to sign with impunity, why not also pass a bill stipulating that all Down syndrome foetuses compelled to be born and reaching the age of 18 have their vote be awarded by to the ND GOP out of presumed gratitude to the author of their being.

Lets look at 2 scenarios. One, a man is driving drunk. He ACCIDENLY hits a pregnant woman and the baby dies. Man goes to jail for murder. Second scenario. Mother gets pregnant and PURPOSEFULLY has her child killed. She gets gov't to pay for it! Hmmmm...........

Lets look at another set of scenarios. Mother is on the way to the abortion clinic. She finds an eagles nest with eggs it in. She destroys the eagle's developing embryo.. She continues on to have her embryo destroyed. Guess which one she goes to jail for! HMMMM..........

Good reason why 1 party in power is a risky proposition. Think they have super majority too. It's OK though, the republicans have enough oil money in the coffers to endlessly fight this and to provide welfare checks, medicaid, foodstamps and education to the uptick in unwanted babies. Oh wait, I remember now... Just leave off everything after "endlessly fight this".
