The game-time temperature was just above freezing and dropped from there. Some fans counted on layers and an adult beverage to fend off the cold.

Is this baseball or iceball? Why did MLB schedule a interleague series in April?

I imagine there will be more than a few empty seats. The promo for the first 20,000 fans receiving a Gardy snap-on goatee has been downsized to the first 50.

Insane. I think there will be about 150 people there.

Boooo....this is not the best fan experience in baseball - Twins you should rethink this - I am a season ticket holder, and not happy that I am about to waste a game - I will probably go, hopefully can make it to the 3rd innning and then watch the rest of the game from home.

Here come the posts about how the Pohlads are cheap and they should have built a stadium with a roof and how it isn't fair that we are all paying for the stadium and how Mauer isn't worth the money that the same cheap Pohlads spent on him and the food in the stadium is too expensive. I think I've covered it all.

If baseball games were cancelled every time it got cold and snowed, there's no way the Yankees could win a World Series every few years.

Sid was actually correct in his Sidcast. This is all about television money, forget the fans.

Outdoor baseball is a beautiful thing. However, with outdoor baseball comes its pitfalls, which include rain outs and freeze outs, as the case may be. The Twins need to reschedule tonight. It is unreasonable to subject the players to what will be sub-30 temps with windchills in the twenties or lower and expect the fans to support it. As a seaon ticket holder, I am disappointed in the Twins.

When I was a kid, there used to be many doubleheaders throughout the season. Hardly any now. What is the real reason for this?
