Hey mister history of the NBA. 36 year old Bill Fitch left the U for the NBA in 1970. You could probably opine that that was not a "better job" but most would consider it a promotion.

Oh, and good luck with Jones, Coach P.

I just can't imagine the conversation 'R Pitts' will have at Mr. & Mrs. Jones' dining room table. "Sir, Ma'am- you're son is the most sought after high school basketball player in the country- Here's what I have to offer to help him actualize his basketball career. 1 year of D1 college coaching -but if you ask my 'DAD' and look at my 'bio' I have 6 years experience! By the way I also have a convicted drug dealer on my staff ..." This WILL be your son's first time away from home won't it?"

Minn, it was only 96 pounds and our straight shooting AD said it was for "personal use only"---good to know the culture in the MN AD's office thinks that's "ok."

Yes by all means people should be buried for their entire life for something they did as a kid 14 years ago.

It is ok. and if you want lower taxes, maybe you should be in favor of legalizing it. Don't be so close minded people. I would rather have someone who has does some wrong (and learned from it) than someone who "has played it straight" their entire lives. The people who have had experiences in their lives tend to be better suited to teach, and they also tend to be ones that kids listen to.

If you believe that, CH, you must also buy into Richie P. being a "top coach?"

If a kid wants to leave home and go to another state to play, nothing will keep him here. Some just want to see something different. but if you want to bring glory to someone, why not your hometown? Duke and MS have sent a lot of players to the NBA but I have a hard time thinking of very many out of the dozens who played, who actually excelled? Magic and... I don't understand MN kids wanting to go play for the glory of Michigan State or Duke. Why not be a program saviour and begin a tradition in front of your family and friends? There are way more business opportunities in the cities than East Lansing or Durham. Jones, Vaughn, Reid, stay home. We'd be a powerhouse.

I pray all 3 will stay home..... wouldn't it be fun again
