Gardy should consider taking some of the pressure off Hicks and hitting 9th in the line-up. Let one of the shortstops lead-off.

Let's be honest: the Twins are who we thought they were. As for Hicks, it's not his fault that he's in the big leagues. The Twins just kept giving away outfielders until there was no one left. But to pretend that Hicks' spring training performance meant more than his abysmal showing in the big leagues...that's an insult to all of us who paid for the palace the Twins play in. What we're seeing out there is a betrayal of trust. This young man is begging to get sent back to the minors, and by keeping him in the lineup, the Twins are simply affirming the suspicion that Hicks is not the only one who isn't trying.

Not shocked Gardy threw him under the bus. He always goes at a struggling rookie instead of calling out his under performing vets. Baby J needs to be ripped too.

Maybe Hicks is understudying Alex Rodriguez or Manny Ramirez.

More proof that this manager does not know how to nurture elite talent. He himself had no talent as a player and he gets irked at young players that do. He needs to go...robably by mid July. I hope.

Gardy, your players are not responding to you. The joke is on you.

Hicks not hustling is a reflection of the coaching, and Hicks isn't the only one who's not running balls out. C'mon guys, let's hustle! You'll never win the world series by dogging it. Go Twins! Respect!

Where's Danny V when you need someone to throw under the bus? I saw the play and Hicksie was dogging it a lot. I guess Gardy has found his new whipping boy. But Gardy needs to stay quiet in front of the press and have his talk with the player - poor management style.

Nishioka and now Hicks. Why?

"Lack of effort should not be accepted"...Hicks is a golfer, so when he doesn't hustle, just pretend to be the for-some behind him and shoot golf balls over his head.....He'll soon pick up the pace.
