The football team hasn’t been able to practice outside, but good competition for spots has kept intensity high.

"There’s no doubt the coaches, on the basis of the showing of the players in spring practice, expect a much improved football team this fall."........................paying off a few more scheduled opponents and replacing them with Division 2 opponents should help Kill's record too.

If I were a high school football coach, I wouldn't let my players attend Jerry Kill's High School Clinic. Jerry isn't capable of coaching high school players.

Keep clamoring about the weather, Sid! That will have those recruits lining up to come here.

Kill is a good coach. I love how he manages his practices, preparing them BEFORE they go out and then practices with intensity and fosters competition. "You play how you practice". Kill will get the most out of his players. There will be success, but the degree of success will come down to, as usual, talent.

guth54, it should be clear to you that everyone who reads your comment knows that you are by far more knowledgeable than all of the University athletic departments who have hired Kill and watched him win games. Great job with sharing your expertise with the world, we appreciate it. YOU ARE THE MAN!

Which big wins of Kill's are worth mentioning, vision? lol Yes, that triple OT fiasco vs. Las Vegas Sr. High was the real deal!

well tubbykill, let's add you to the list of one who is more knowledgeable than the aforementioned. Um, shouldn't you be able to parlay that wealth of knowledge into a 7 figure salary putting together a dominant football program?

The Coaches better expect a much improved team, the fan base does. The obvious however is that it shouldn't be too hard to improve on 2-6 in the Big Ten. The question is whether Coach Kill is a capable Big Ten Coach and recruiter. So far, the answer is, he is not.

vikson64; if you are asking me if I am more qualified than the people who hired Jerry Kill; the answer is YES. Joel Maturi and a tee shirt salesman named Dave Mona hired Jerry Kill. I know more about football than both of those individuals. Thanks for asking.

Way to dodge the question, vik! kill is doing nothing more than collecting a check while hiding behind cupcakes schedules. He's nothing more than brewster without the bluster.
