"Chairwoman Ann Lenczewski, DFL-Bloomington, promoted a once-discarded idea: Taxing pro jerseys and foam-finger sports memorabilia." Looks like I am not the dumbest person in the world. I guess I need to run for office

The politicians that voted to fund the stadium should have Director's insurance. This story proves the plan was either incompetent or fraudulent.

Put the stadium to a vote...The way it should have done from the beginning. Waste of taxpayer money.

I would like to say we were bamboozled by the politicians on this one, but that is not the case. Anything and everything was done to make sure the people of Minnesota were not allowed to have a say or to vote on this. Laws were skirted, numbers were fudged, little research was done, little planning was done. Now the Vikes say nope, we are not changing anything, legislators are saying we need to continue to ram this through as quickly as possible. And once again the majority of those that will be left to pay for this, and that do not want to pay for this, are left out with no say.

What is so difficult about opening state-run casinos? It's just like the lottery and would bring in huge voluntary money.

The final stadium funding agreements were "built-in" bad from the start; are getting worse and soon will be seen as hopeless. "Stop Now!, Re-start!" The Vikings can play in the Metrodome or go elsewhere.

State seeking Plan B for e-pulltabs, Vikings stadium funding. - Plan B. Stick it to the taxpayer that doesn't want the big pile of stinking excrement anyway. Send them away with the Mayo and the MCO. Bye bye. Better standard of living immediately.

Maybe this time the media will do their job and investigate the details of the deal.

The financing was based on lies. Everyone involved knew that pulltabs were nothing but a dream. The taxpayers were denied their legal right to vote on this through back room shenanigans that Governor Dayton and Ted Mondale were party to. A lot of us knew that we were being played and tried to warn that this would turn out bad. The Metrodome is still there with it's new roof and playing surface. The responsible thing to do is to repeal the financing for the new stadium. We don't need it and at the rate things are going, certainly can't afford it.
