Just wanted to see how many on the left would comment about the "party of family values". Oh, Not one of them commented on the ethics of the Democrats. Never mind. Hypocrisy at it's best!
"Not one of them commented on the ethics of the Democrats. Never mind.".... There are no doubt plenty of skuzzballs to be found on either side of the political specrtun. The difference is that when a Republican is caught doing something shamefull or illegal, the members of his party rightly ask him to step down. With Democrats, shmeful behavior is not only forgiven, but rewarded. i.e. Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Marion Barry, Charlie Rangel, Maxine Waters, etc. etc. etc.
I would have a difficult time voting for Weiner. I couldn't rule it out, because like Clinton, it depends on the alternative. I'm sure Weiner was a great politician, but I just don't know how you get past what he did. It's shameful and you can't ever take the guy completely seriously. But if you are going to attack Clinton, then how does Newt Gingrich get away with how he treated his multiple wives? How many times have Rush been married? Four? Weiner DID have to step down, in no small part from pressure from his party. So don't call us hypocrits, you've got more than enough on your side.
