Gaborick is going light the Wild up in this game. Before Uncle Leo pats himself on the back for knowing Todd Richards was a good coach, nobody was arguing he would be. It was nice of the Wild to give him experience because without it he would not be in this position. The Wild have a coach now that I hope does have success in Mike Yeo but the same thing holds true for him. I think Yeo will have a similar path as Todd Richards, its always easier to get your feet wet and take what you have learned to your new job with new confidence (especially in a leadership role).... This has the makings of being a great game, I say the Jackets will win BUT the Wild should win and them losing is part of them being the underachieving franchise they have become over the past 4 years, all that being said Backstrom should be ready for a big game and he is capable of playing a game similar to that of former North Star goalie Jon Casey, so he is capable of getting the win

It will be interesting to see what happens when Heatley is out.

No more excuses but no panic buttons either. Just go out and play a good game!

To me this is a tossup game. The Wild could win, but Richie has the Jackets playing some serious hockey right now. Can Gabby rediscover how to score? Because if he can, this team will be trouble. They are very good with The Bob in the nets and can play shutdown defense fairly well. If the Wild play as they have the past 5 games, they will not win this game and right the ship. Also, hope John Davidson takes stock of what the club has done with Todd Richards behind the bench. JD though has a history of letting guys go that he didnt bring on board himself. So, no matter what the club does it could be bye bye for Richie. Hope not, he is doing a nice job there. And, still dont like the Pominville deal. Chuckie gave up too much. Poms has put up in the twenties historically, and thats good, however I think his contract is too much for that, and Fletch overpaid. We'll just have to see what the dividends might be. Overall I'm not optimistic about tonights tilt...

Just my 2 cents... This is Backstroms game to win - bigtime! But, next game is Kuempers no matter what happens with this game. He has got to get in a game from the start to establish himself and also help reinvigorate Backstrom. The defensemen REALLY need to have a great game tonight. Last few have been awful. Spurgeon, Stoner, the new guy, even Gilbert should be on the bubble of sitting in place of Prosser, maybe even Scandella (who played really well last year). Very scary to watch these guys and the mistakes they are making....
