I can't remember the last time I was positive on a chat board, but I can't help myself. Isaiah Thomas ruined an already bad FIU, then in one year Pitino beat M Tennessee at tourney team and lost to Cinderella Florida Gulf Coast by 3. They were two points from the NCAA's. So he can coach, he is trying to prove something, and he knows how to recruit. Home Run.

From the article: “We’re not going to just try to fill scholarships,” Pitino said......This shows that he has a plan. His goal is to tailor the roster to allow him to implement a system that he thinks will succeed. Doing it the other way around, tailoring the system to the roster, should be a backup plan only.

' he said, he said '. normal stuff. but there was no doubt that tubby and his assistants were getting beyond boring and predictable. good luck gophs, it was indeed time for a change. ' me and my wife like this' hire, . sorry; bad grammer for US h.s. grads. good luck rich; you NEED a better practice house!.

It won't take long to see how Pitino will do. We just wait and see if any of the Big three MN recruits signs with the Gophers. If at least one does I have high hopes, otherwise not so much.

The kid has a presence about him that is smooth, larger-than-life, and commands respect. Despite being a 5th or 6th choice, I think the young Pitino will turn out to be the absolute BEST possible hire of the group of candidates looked at. Go Gophers!

"passion and energy" are two traits when mixed with good basketball acumen and youth will be a good tonic for Gopher basketball.

i 'are' old and tired. let's get the 'kid' a new practice facility . the only experience i had with the u of m was games my dad took me to in the 50's ; and a couple of frat parties a lady took me to. i am happy they did not hire old and tired. give me a website where i can donate a 'lousy' 20$ to help the kid. being a 'so-called' PRO state AIN'T enough. go win gophs.
