Are men not more likely to live with a woman before marriage? If it's something that both do together it seems strange to focus on just one sex.

What is the point of the article; and I agree what about the male side? Once again a need to fill white space.

Living together before marriage is a good idea if both parties are SERIOUS about marriage. Many people love each other, but can't live together. Better to find that out before marriage and kids etc. JMO

Exactly, delaundreau! Mike's and the CDC's andro-centric bias is showing, and rather unattractive it is.

Interesting - today is our 32nd wedding anniversary and we lived together for a year before we married. I guess it worked for us.

How much did this survey cost? It's not big news and who cares?

To explain why they focus on women in this study: it is possible for 1 guy to have lived with 10 different women in his life, while those 10 different women only lived with 1 guy. Do the math...

Finally, some good news in the paper... I wish more women would agree to live together before getting married. If my ex would've been willing to live together first, we wouldn't have gotten a divorce (because we would've found out much earlier that we weren't meant to live together).

Ah yes, as Benjammin said, some of the baby daddys like to spread it around. Then the baby mommas can get the taxpayers to pay to raise their children, what a deal!
