oh the Bret Favre of late night says he's leaving again? How quaint!
Deja Vu. Jay still has the best ratings of any of the late night shows. So everyone in his audience isn't in the coveted "young" demographic--so what? Although I'm no longer in the coveted group, the thing advertisers seem to overlook is that I have a hell of lot more money to spend than a 20- or 30-something. Their loss.
Somewhere far away, Johnny Carson is laughing his tail off. What goes around comes around
i'm in the prime demographic target and i detest Fallon and i think Leno is pretty funny. i really like his skits, especially the one when he ambushes people in their apartments, Jay-walking and Headlines. i tried watching a little of Fallon last night. it was painful. no laughs, even from his own audience. this change will be an epic fail!
Leno and Letterman are the epitome of unfunny (Letterman is FAR worse). Conan and Fallon are far funnier, with Conan being a giant leap ahead of Fallon. lydia: I make over six figures. You?
Is it 2009 again?
NBC is ridiculous. Letterman should have taken over the Tonight Show. Then, when they screw that up they give it to Leno. THEN, Conan should have gotten it but Leno decides that he wants it back and NBC obliges. THEN, they decide to give it to Jimmy Fallon after Leno decides that he really DOES want to retire. Johnny Carson is spinning right now. Jack Parr is spinning right now. NBC is ridiculous. Fallon stinks. The Roots are great, but I bet theyll be gone when it comes time for them to move.... Carnac couldnt even see this coming.
Leave it to a town that calls itself "the city" to not include a time zone in the story.
ronpaul - does that include the 2 digits to the right of the decimal?
