There should be no such thing as a "hate crime." A crime is a crime. If you assault anyone, you should face the consequences. There should not be preferential treatment given to certain groups.
This "hate crime" garbage is just a way to persecute and silence anyone who might speak up for what is right or wrong or for offending a certain deviant group.
What the heck is a "hate" crime? How many crimes against people (violence) are out of pure love? I think if you hurt someone, there should be no discrimination; we all deserve an equal amount of justice.
