How about the AD and the people he reports to as well? They all knew what the Coach was up to and yet turned away.

Whimsey...Agree, the A.D. has to go. The only reason he fired him is because the video got out, the same video the A.D. saw when he only suspended him.

(article quote): "Rutgers athletic director Tim Pernetti was given a copy of the video in late November by a former employee." ---- This only proves that it required a former employee, videotape, a scared college AD, AND national broadcasting in order to get a simple little basketball coach fired. Otherwise, it would have been swept under the rug. Does he get millions to go away too?

Rice obviously subscribes to the Nice Guys Finish Last school of coaching, but it's good that he's gone. These coaches needed to be weeded out from the profession.

another bully boss bites the dust. but it took a PO'ed governor to do it. we still don't have our priorities right in many places -- any boss who does not nurture and advance the employees is doing nobody any favors.

The judgement of the AD and president should also be questioned. How you can look at multiple practices and the in-game behavior and not fire him in December is odd.

this guy's a nut! let's get him to coach the goph's. it's time that we realize in this town we aren't going to win championships...so let's have some fun! think of the articles and stories that would come out. now that's good reading.

Talk about using your power to abuse your subordinates. And what a horrid role model for young men. Appauling that the management of that college knowingly let this go on. Thank goodness it got media attention!

Not only should this have been fired but he should also be facing multiple counts of assault.
