It seems very strange, if not negligent, to not look inside a "so called" abandoned car to see if there was ANYTHING suspicious.
This is similar to the sad case in MN where a young woman's body was found in a car that had been in an impound lot. It should not be happening anywhere!
How awful to have never be able to have true closure on this - for the family and for the police officer. And even for the towing company. Won't the airbags deflate after a given time? I am very sorry for all involved.
