Best Buy is grasping at straws. Expect more cuts in customer service.

Geek Squad didn't add any value to Best Buy - why would Target assume it would do any different in their stores?

The Geek Squad has been turned from some extremely knowledgeable "kids" with good customer service skills to a crack sales team that uses technical jargon to make you think you need something more than you really do.

"Service after the sale" is a comcept the Best Buy will never understand. Once they have your money and you are out the door they don't want anything to do with you. What a schlock organization.

A few years ago I bought a onsite service contract for my computer. The drive failed right away. BB would not honor the onsite service because it was so new (BS), so I had to bring it back to the Minnetonka store. After other problems with their services, that was the last straw. I have not been back since. Best Buy. Just go away!

I worked at Best Buy on a contract basis and unfortunately I believe they have to fix A LOT of things in their company.

No kidding it's highly profitable. They overcharge for their "customer service"

I found I knew more or at least as much as the so-called Geek Squad. They weren't of any value to me.

Frankly I dont understand this move at all. What was Target hoping to gain by inviting a competitor into their stores to do nothing but lure Target customers to Best Buy stores? Don't let anyone tell you that wasnt the "end game"..Best Buy needs to focus on improving THEIR customer experience instead of trying to glom on to other stores customers..this "ended" because it was a RIDICULOUS notion to begin with
