i see this as a career move for his wife too. i don't see MN as being a good choice for him and vice versa. i'm guessing the wichita state coach. very high energy guy.

Why on earth would the Wichita State coach who is currently in the Final Four take the Minnesota job? Do you really think it's more attractive? At this point the Gophers should be interviewing the JV girl's coach from New Ulm.

atlmike you are right on. I'm 70 years old and often miss the 'good ol days' but time moves on and we all need to change. Yes the horrible weather here might be a problem, but the real issue is a team without a modern practice gym and last but not least is a field house almost a 100 years old, this might impress me {70} but not a young college recruit. Tear the damn thing down, play at Target Center for 2 or 3 years, look at what they did at Nebraska and who ever really heard of Nebraska basketball. Norwood find a way--the time has come!

johnny99 - absolutely the Minnesota job is more attractive than Wichita state - one reason - money.

I'm starting to wonder if there is a conspiracy. Tubby was/is well respected by the coaching establishment and the perception of how he was treated may well be the UofM's downfall. Perhaps the coaches are colluding against taking a job here? What is the famous saying "build it and they will come", get some modern facilities and all will be fine.

Enfield won't last long at USC. That program is dieseased.
