This summer’s Minnesota Zoo music lineup is heavy on AARP-loved acts such as Brian Wilson and Joan Baez.

Starship and Eddie Money were unavailable? Great lineup for the Dockers crowd who wants to be in bed by 10:00.

Having competed with teenage nieces and nephews for some vinyl albums by many of these acts, I think the remarks are uncalled for. Maybe it more so represents a pushback against the digitized voices and airbrushed visage of the contemporary music market. I actually want my chosen musical artists to be able to play instruments and/or sing. I don't think this is about geriatrics or AARP, I think that's called "talent".

I'm a big fan of Sue McLean and am usually very excited about the summer lineup she puts together. That said, this has to be the weakest Zoo lineup I've seen. Hopefully things will rebound in 2014!

Wow - I'm too young to appreciate this summer's lineup. (Note: I'm 40.) Briefly considered Eric Hutchinson in June, but only because I do love the venue at the zoo and not because I'm in a hurry to see him perform.

Did Sue McLean write this "story" herself?

With this lineup I'll spend at least $500 this summer at the Zoo. Yeah, I drive a Buick.
