I seem to recall a similar article about this same time last year with coach Kill and staff telling us about the improvement seen due to off-season dedication. And last year's team didn't improve AT ALL in conference play. I'm hoping this year will be different (performance, not hype). We'll see once the B1G season begins. I'm thinking it will take at least four conference wins for Kill and staff to keep their jobs as Norwood obviously has set high expectations for his revenue sports, and rightly so. Save this article, Joe, and run it again right after Thanksgiving. I'm pulling for them. Go Gophs!

I'm feeling good about what Coach Kill is doing for this team. He was a really good hire. He's not flashy, but he has a deep commitment to his team. Hope he remains healthy. It should be an exciting season.

Kill is a good coach, has won everywhere he has been, and has had to dig out of a pretty deep ditch created by Brewster. Lets stop looking for reasons to run him out of town and instead support the team. They will be vastly improved this season and he will build them into respectability. GO COACH KILL, and GO GOPHERS!

Coach finally has a good QB to work with. Nelson was one of the best in the 5 state area when he was recruited. Look at how badly Bucky wanted him! But he stayed here. And if i remember correctly, didn't they end up with a JC transfer as well? But now with Nelson, coach has a QB. Gray wasn't a QB.. He was a great athlete, but just didn't have the arm to be a QB. Kill is going to make more strides again this year. Let's face it, he is the best man for the job at this point. Sure it would be nice to have a big name. But we won't get one here! Our terrible record over the years and recruiting problems over the years, will keep the big names away. So we have to take the best true "coach" we can, which is Kill. He takes alot of 2nd tier and 3rd tier players, and get's them to play together. He's going to be the guy who get's this program on the right heading. I just hope teague doesn't screw this up like he has the head coaching of the basketball team!
