RE: Gibson -- In 2005 the KC Royals had no choice but to put a kid who needed "time to develop" on their MLB roster. He went 5-17 with an ERA of 5.80 that season, basically got clobbered. That player's name was Zack Greinke. Maybe Gibson's "time to develop" should be in a Twins uniform. I don't see what they have to lose at this point by giving him a shot.

The Twins keep Tim Wood and dump Burnett.. puzzling?

Hope that this not just the beginning of an all too regular use of the disabled list by the Twins pitching staff. As fragile and shallow as this entire Twins lineup is, there really doesn't appear to be any room for injuries. Looking forward to summer and hopefully some ENTERTAINING baseball this season.

"Maybe Gibson's "time to develop" should be in a Twins uniform. I don't see what they have to lose at this point by giving him a shot."....ML SERVICE TIME, if Gibson turns out to be a star, and will be able to command Greinke like money as a FA, there is no chance (imo) Ryan spends that kind of money on him. Ryan is trying to get a young group of players ready on the cheap who may or may not be successful in 2014 or 2015. That is Ryans thing, he likes to play the little engine that could role, and a huge reason Pohlad keeps him around.

The more I think about it, the more I burn. Changing my mind....letting Burnett go was really stupid. (I rarely, if ever, have called Gardy or Ryan stupid.)
