Art school supporters seeking reprieve for St. Paul college

An ad hoc group will ask for expansion of the College of Visual Arts board to consider its rescue plan for the St. Paul school.

A great school that needs to be saved. If that means shrinking down, then that's what it takes. Save CVA!

I'm not terribly hopeful the actions by CVAA will yield favorable results, but at least they're trying.

Good idea to ask college students about this - but isn't the #1 issue in deciding where to locate for most young people where can they get a decent or well paying job? Yes, having better bike lanes is a good idea - but it you don't have a job, it can be difficult to buy & maintain a bike. We need more good jobs. As to giving a young person from New York "something to brag about..." hmmm...Having spent a lot of time in NYC and here, I'll take here. We won't have as much theater as New York, or the extensive subway. We will have a lot less traffic and more honest politics.
