If Congress doesn't act, incoming freshmen could add $5,000 to their student loan tabs

This is not a bad thing considering we're awash with unemployed and underemployed graduates. Perhaps it will force them to evaluate whether the cost of their degree is really worth what they pay for it instead of expecting others to pay for it.

If you want to go to school pay the man, its not the governments job to keep college loan interest artificially low.

Yes... by all means discourage students from going to college... it's much more important we preserve the wealth opportunities of the 1% so they can create all oh those jobs for nannies, gardeners, chauffeurs and personal assistants. Oh... I shouldn't forget the tax lawyers and accountants who assemble all of the tax avoidance schemes, off shore accounts and charitable remainder unitrusts
