Now how did he score that OT winner? He jammed it in and I said back in late February, the Wild needed to start getting in front of the net and start crashing it. SEE WHAT HAPPENS!

Fun to watch. I just hope Backstrom can hold up. I know our up-and-comers goalies are highly touted down in the AHL, but I still think Backstrom will need to carry this team if we want a deep playoff run. GO WILD!

Not the best game the Wild have played this season by a dang sight but the big guns pushed them over the top. A good team needs to win a couple games like this one but the Wild had better button it down again by Friday back in Dallas. Backstrom needs a game off big time. Kuemper handled Detroit earlier in the season and he can handle Dallas. Way to pull this one out Wild! Seven in a row and counting...and Anaheim is having its lunch eaten by San Jose tonight.

Goalies get hot and they don't come think they gave Johnathan Quick a rest last year? Think again....even during the season...he'll get some rest late...he's hot right now...

I can't believe rubes on here complaining about Backstrom early? What? He's their bread and butter. Tom Reid said it best start out from the Goalie and work your way out. Lots of good goalies in the NHL young and old...that one over there in Pittsburgh's not too bad.

Backy needs a game off - he allowed a few bad-angled goals at Dallas and tonight that he'd normally have. Otherwise, man this team is playing great as a group. Parise leads by non-stop hustle up front and Suter is Mr. Iceman - wow he is smooth under pressure! We don't have a sharpshooter like Gabby but we're a talented tough grinding team - could see a Wild/Hawks WCF - would be a great way to kick off realignment!!

I thought the streak was over. This just seemed like the perfect game to lose- vs. an opponent you should obviously beat. Sure enough the Wild came out asleep in the second and gave the game to them. I was shocked when they pulled it out. I'm definitely a believer in this team. The Minnesotan in me fears getting burned though. See what the Vikings can do to you? Whatever, I'll take the good with the bad. I love the game too much.

lindy_frank, not sure if you saw some of the goals Backstrom let through the past two games (Phoenix' go ahead goal is a perfect example of what many of us are talking about) but he's clearly exhausted. The Wild have back-to-backs Friday in Dallas and Saturday here against LA. Pick which one you want Backstrom playing. Personally, I want him well rested and ready to take on the world when the defending champs show up on Sat.
