The so-called Gang of Eight, which is close to finalizing a bill aimed at securing the border and putting 11 million illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship. - Why is the cart always before the horse with government. Lets secure the border and maybe then we can address immigration, LEGAL immigration. It's a slap in the face to all who have done it correctly.

The immigration bill they will put forth has already been written by the people who really run this country, so quit pretending your going to write the bill based upon your analysis of the border situation. It is a fact that illegal immigration is way down from the previous "boom" years, so why the sudden concern? Whatever comes of this "bill" will involve less freedom for the citizens, and will probably entail another attempt at a biometric national I.D card ala John McCain. (Rudy Giuliani failed to convince us we needed it after 911, and Mitt Romney tried in the presidential debates).
