So Schulze won't be a real Director on the Best Buy board and he won't have any more influence on the company than he had before this. So is Best Buy going to pay Schulze what they pay their other Directors? If so, what a waste of money.

Joly has mastered the strategy of "keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

Good. This was a fitting end. Dick started the company with one store in 1966 and led the company to be a national powerhouse. He deserves to be a part of it.

Yes. Schulze can tell us how to maximize efficiencies so they can lower prices to match Walmart and amazon. Woohoo

Did you know Best Buy started a 15 day return policy? That will not go over very well.

OK, this has gotten past ridiculous. Basically, it sounds like nothing more than a payoff to not cause trouble anymore. Regular folks get fired for meddling and these types of characters get a raise....

I have to give the new CEO credit. Wanted to replace our ancient tube tv/vhs/dvd combo with a flat screen. It had to fit in the cabinet that the old tv was in. Went to BB, and found the cheapest TV that fit the space. The blue shirt then asked if he could help, I explained the other things we wanted, like netflix streaming. He first pointed to a much more expensive TV that had netflix built in. I told him that was too much. So he mentioned that blu rays include netflix streaming, but wasn't sure so he surfed the internet to see if our DirecTv Genie could stream netflix. Couldn't find an answer. So rather than telling us to buy the blu ray and return it if we didn't need it, he told us to try the Genie on the internet and buy the blu ray if it didn't work. He mentioned the extended warranty but looked embarrased and dropped it. And while I over-paid for the cable, they had three grades in stock and he recommended the middle price one. All in all an entirely different experience than I expected. I bought the TV, and will go back tonight to buy the blu ray (with the cheap cable.) They're on the right path.

A way to reduce cost would be to reduce the number of computer programs they use. I hope the Sr. Management will address this issue going forward.

Unfortunately as this morning's stock action showed, the photos make people think this is the old Best Buy and not Joly's team and the new Best Buy.
