I don't think I've ever visited a place that was less friendly to outsiders than Minnetonka.

Sr. Housing is not reason the neighborhood is questioning the rezoning of this property. It is the size and scale of the building. The development company wants to develop an inappropriate sized building for a single family neighborhood. The residents are the check and balance system for large developers.

Interesting. I was not aware of this, but building something five-times larger than what is currently there and inconsistent with the city plan, regardless of what type of building it is, does not make sense to me.

Nothing you want more than a building full of seniors. They are up all night with loud parties, drive beat-up and noisy cars, disrespectful of others and the police have to come out and break up fights. No, better to have teens that go to bed early, drive carefully, quiet, courteous and polite.

Ever notice how people are using the word "really?" more and more these days? It is almost like the "whatever?" of the 2000s. Hopefully it is on it's way out.

I think many of you are missing the point of the article. Its not about apposing Senior Housing development, its about the size and the scale of what is being proposed. I grew up in Minnetonka and as I recall, Minnetonka has welcomed many Senior Communities.
