Let me see if I have this correct: Union run town, Liberal politicians, departing citizens. Now is this Chicago, Detroit or California? They all sound alike. But they emphasize how to make a successful path to failure.
What a great idea to save money. So sensible. These families should be greatful for a FREE education instead of fighting about it. Only a union would want to run a half empty school!
The American Dream is dying. Public education, which once provided opportunities for everyone to climb the ladder, is getting swallowed wholesale by Corporate America and their charter schools. Some of us will live to see our kids pay tuition for our grandkids to go to school. Some of us will live to see our grandkids fall through the cracks with no education at all.
Eventually most of the public schools will be replaced by charter schools. Tuition payments are just around the corner. Wall Street is making record profits, but cities can't afford to keep their schools open. Who has produced this lamentable state of affairs? Two of the greatest failures of the last 20 years: The Democratic Party and the Republican Party. Time for some fresh ideas. Labor Party anyone?
