"One thing in the Gophers’ favor is that the Bruins start four freshmen, part of the No.1 recruiting class in the country last year." Most teams are playing freshmen while Smith decided to not play his freshmen. This was one of Smith's mistakes this year. Buggs is a much better wing shooter than Williams and Coleman and is longer than Coleman. The Gophers have better results when Eliason plays with Mbakwe together. A front line of Eliason, Mbakwe and Buggs was the way to go with the two Hollins in the back court and Williams and Coleman playing 20 minutes each off the bench. That would be an Elite Eight team this year.

Let's get real . the Gophers are a 3pt favorite because they have a tougher conf and have beat some outstanding teams. But having said that they can't shoot and they turn the ball over. The Bruins ( I have watched all fo the games that both teams have played) can't rebound and they are inconsistent. Playing THREE freshman (the fourth is a project and rarely plays more than 5') Losing Adams with a broken foot in the Conf Tournament reduces the quality of the starting five. Further more, they have a short bench with only six scholarship players. So inspite of their poor play, the Gophers should win this one. I don't believe Howland is going any place. He has had a very successful year.

Here's the similarities Sid...@ the 11 minute mark of the first half it's 9-9 they both STINK with a capital S. This team is awful...can't shoot free throws, can't defend and can't hit from the outside. What did you say? A run? Ha lol.
