And just think, if Chuck Fletcher would NOT have "blown the Leddy deal," we probably would have never seen Brodin in a Wild sweater. And can anyone honestly say that Brodin, if he stays healthy, won't end up TWICE the player Leddy will be??? Perhaps we can put that Leddy Deal Venom to rest now, huh? And next year we'll get another 19-year-old defensive stud of a totally different make-up in Matt Dumba. Good time to be a Wild fan, man.

Brodin has been great, Zucker and Coyle as well. Pardon me for not remembering the name, but there was another kid last year...was it Bulmer? Looked great for a bit then they sent him down again because of contract issues.. I'd like to see him up again. Future looks good for the Wild. Lookin forward to it.

Brodin and Suter are both fun to watch. The casuals! They make playing defense in the NHL look easy, the mark of a real pro! The kid is amazing. Great job Fletcher! Or should I say, Another great job Fletcher!

While Burns was a good player, the Wild have never had defensemen playing at the level of Suter and Brodin before. I'm starting to wonder if Suter is really Batman and Shea Weber was Robin.

All true, but I'm afraid you have to play for a team at least 400 miles east of the Mississippi to be considered for Calder

To try and say that Leddy being with the Wild would have prevented Fletcher from "finding" Brodin is preposterous. Give Fletcher a little more credit than that. Brodin is our 2nd best defensemen on the team. GM's job is to find good players.

Brodin has the ability to seperate himself from opposing players with a tremendous burst that looks so calm that it is amazing.
