If the Vikes feel signing Urlacher will give us an edge against the Bears next season-they should do it. I'll bet Spielman and co. are looking at their draft board right now muttering: " What if...what if...what if..." We need help at LB, MLB as well as at WR, DT and CB. Signing Urlacher could allow us to address those other areas of need. It will be interesting seeing what the Vikings decide to do.

Memo to Spielman. Don't do it. This guy can't even run a 5.0 40 anymore. We need to draft a middle LB with one of our first 2 picks, not take a guy rejected by the Bears. Even if he can get fired up against the Bears, he's got maybe 1/2 a season left in him. Time to retire Mr. Urlacher. You done good for Da Bears. Don't bring your act to MSP.

While it would be good to have him join us (veteran leadership, mentoring of a MLB draftee), it would be MUCH better to instead use any cap money that would go to him to re-sign Winfield or find another FA MLB that is younger (Ray Maualuga please) and not draft a MLB.
