Tough call, we abandon helping and they get taken over by their neighboring country. Meanwhile back in the USA we are bleeding to death....

I do hope Obama left our checkbook at home as that's all they want out of us. If Israel has such a problem and issues with Iran, then deal with it. In no way should our American soldiers be expected and drug into this cat fight that has gone on since wheels were made out of stone.

"the state of Israel will have no greater friend than the United States," and it's too bad the reciprocal statement isn't true. It's a one way street with the tail wagging the dog.

AIPAC is might powerful and has a LOT of money. I support friendship with Israel and support in case of an invasion. I don't blindly support everything Israel does and I don't support giving them financial aid. Neither does Netanyahu: "My friends, you don't need to do nation building in Israel. We're already built. You don't need to export democracy to Israel. We've already got it. You don't need to send American troops to defend Israel. We defend ourselves." This is very true. They are capable of defending themselves. We can help if they NEED it, but they probably won't. And we can stop giving them billions of dollars, as they don't need that, either. Give them their sovereignty back and separate ourselves a bit.

George Washington, 1797: "...nothing is more essential, than that permanent, inveterate antipathies against particular Nations, and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded; and that, in place of them, just and amicable feelings towards all should be cultivated. The Nation, which indulges towards another an habitual hatred, or an habitual fondness, is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest." Barack Obama, 2013: "Seeking to alter a perception among many Israelis that his government has been less supportive of Israel than previous U.S. administrations, Obama declared the U.S.-Israeli alliance 'eternal.' 'It is forever,' he said to applause as Israeli and U.S. flags fluttered in a steady breeze under clear, sunny skies." Whose interests are being served by our slavish devotion to Israel?

US/Isreal one in the same. They are the same. No US President will ever feel any different or turn his back on Isreal because that person would never be allowed to be in the race for President in the first place. Do people ever and I mean ever look at anything thru their own eyes? The media since it's inseption has been slanting the relationship, slanting news so the parternship works, convinces the public that they both have peace and good will as their only goal. Nothing could be further from the truth. Isreal could blow up the moon and the US puppets would say "we are behind them 100%"

"Israel will have no greater friend than the United States". I take heart from that phrasing. Israel has no other friends.

And exactly how are we going to keep them from having a nuke? And yes, nukes are really, really bad...but why is it the one country that has actually used them, telling everyone else they can't have them?
