$1.8 billion may be wasted on Army's M4 carbine replacement

Never mind getting the military the best equipment to defend their country with .... we've got sappy-happy social programs that need the money! Let the troops shoot old antiques like they've always had to!

The M4 Carbine is not an antique by any means. The ones who are doing the most worrying are ones in the private sector who depend upon the military to line their large pockets with money. Oh, and the military is a social program. I should now because I am an Army veteran.
