Leave it to inept government and academia (and even worse an incestuous relationship between the two) to somehow figure out a way to actually lose money on alcohol sales.
It absolutely was about making a profit - that was the basis that the University made for actually getting the approval to do it. How on earth can you lose money on alcohol sales.
900k in sales equals 16k loss? On beer? What's the margin on an 8 dollar pint? 500%?
Sorry but I'm in the business. It is impossible to lose money on well-managed alcohol sales. Something doesn't add up.
