It's a good thing Maturi locked up Borton for another two years or this NIT bid would have caused a bidding frenzy for her!

I watched the Girls HS tourney. Why is only one of the many stand out players, from a 2A school, going to the U?

Clarification: So many good ball players and only one commitment. None from the metro? Troubling.

Oldfield (Freese) did not want to be here and bolted. Unfortunately for her, Maryland joins the Big Whatever in a year or two. I am so disgusted with all of the conference shuffling all because of football.

Pam Borton: The queen of women's intercollegiate basketball mediocrity. Never has a team played with less joy. Between Pam and Tubby, the U is in a real ugly place with underperforming basketball programs. Squandered talent.

NIT - yawn... Ohio State turns down the invite to participate in a classy tourney such as the NIT (please catch the sarcasm). Gophers go to one NCAA in last seven years and yet Borton continues to get extensions. Makes me sick. The real show that deserves all the attention is across the street at Ridder where a very talented and well coached women's hockey team is in the Frozen Four. Also, talking of the MN girls state tourney and lack of top in-state talent going to the U...would you want your daughter playing for a bullying, coach like Borton, who has proven year in and year out not to have a decent handle on the fundamentals, much less successful coaching? If you want your daughter to have a positive basketball experience there's no way you should consider Borotn's dysfunctional Minnesota program.
