This is a complex work musically and emotionally as the relationships and hidden story of Clara is explored by this cast. The vocals are complicated but amazingly done by the cast. In the end and throughout, the audience DID love the characters and the story they made come alive. The standing ovation for the cast, crew, orchestra and director seems to confirm that the audience had a great time and received value for their money. Theater is taking a beating in these tough economic times, so supporting great productions and artists is important. I really enjoyed this performance along with the rest of the audience. Other reviews by other critics seemed to show they loved this show too. Despite this Star Trib review, I would encourage lovers of fine music and theater to attend and enjoy this show. This is a production where I received a great return on my investment on the ticket I bought. Thanks Theater Latte Da!
