The Steubenville case is a sad commentary on what happens in too many places. The two young men made choices; their behavior was criminal. Criminal behavior has serious consequences. It's time for families and communities and schools and churches to step up and make sure that young men understand that this type of behavior is not acceptable. It's time for people who witness this kind of incident to step up and intervene. We've lost our moral compass if these young men don't understand that they're criminals and the consequences are deserved. They chose the behavior. They now have to bear the consequences. We're all responsible to instill a better morality in our young people. I mean it.
