Snow, high winds close Interstate 94 in western Minnesota

With just a few days to go until spring, winter was preparing to hang on with the cold.

When did 1 to 3 inches of snow become categorized as heavy snow? I would think dusting is probably a better adjective to use.

Lakeville to Mpls. On 35w at 5:30 - no plows in sight. Really! How about running them 5 across at 5:00 am to offer just a bit of assistance for the morning commute. Several of the accidents I saw could have been prevented with minimal plowing.

Be patient. When Mother Nature decides to kick butt, even the MN. D.O.T. has too slow down. Here in Western MN., she is throwing a major tantrum.. A month from now being delayed today won't matter or even be remembered. So just slow down or better yet stay home.. The life you save may be your own.

Can't wait for the baseball opener in 2 weeks at Target Field. Instead of using real baseballs, they can use snowballs.
