I always like it when someone, especially the Viking's pluck a player off from Green Bay" roster.

So, how many of us Vikes fans speculated that Jennings wanted to come to MN just to feel wanted? None. We all speculated, incorrectly, that he wouldn't want Ponder, versus Rodgers, throwing to him, etc... We were all wrong, including me.

The fresh start isn't just for Jennings. It's for Christian Ponder. Harvin was splitting the Vikings by challenging Ponder's attempts to lead the Vikings. We have not received the whole story. Add everything up.

The Vikings had to land a veteran WR. We get a high charachter guy who wants to be here. He'll be great in the locker room and on the field. Now draft a WR, or two, and we're in good shape at wideout. I hope we can resign Winfield, pick up a FA Corner, and draft a CB. Looking forward to the draft. Great signing! Welcome to Minnestoa Greg!!

I thought that Jennings might be visiting the Vikings just to leverage the Packers. I'm glad I was wrong.

With Harvin and Jenkins gone this is a fresh start for the whole Vikings passing game. Hopefully Simpson's back injury limited him last year and if he is healthy he should be the field sretcher the Vikes invisioned when they signed him. Wright showed great promise when Percy went down and Rudolf is developing into a first class te. Now with Jennings the fresh start is complete. With some additional help in the draft the Vikes passing game should be much improved. With AP I am not sure the Vikes ever want to be one of the top passing teams in the NFL but now they should at least be in the top half and have a lot more balance. Hopefully Musgrave will not be so predictable now and the Vikes can run or throw on any down.

The real story is the Vikes paid more - $18 million guaranteed. As a 30 year old receiver this may be his last payday and he's going to maximize his contract. If Green Bay offered the same money or more he'd be there and who could blame him.

I agree that all the reasons Jennings gave for signing are valid. If I am Jennings however, there is one more reason. After years living in Green Bay, you wake and realize YOU ARE LIVING IN GREEN BAY! How much better to be living in the Twin Cities! And as you are on the downside of your career, what better place for business opportunites if you decide to stay as other players have done.

While I agree that we needed a WR, and Jennings is better than anything we had. I do find it odd that Miami didn't even take a look at him with Philbin being Green Bays ex offensive coordinator. That makes me wonder whether Jennings is a great WR, or a product of the offense they run in Green Bay.
