Hopefully some sensible reasoning returns to the area and this massive boondoggle is cancelled.

Hopefully some sensible reasoning returns to the area and a retractable roof is included.

The biggest taxpayer ripoff ever, plus it will block development instead of promoting it, just like the Dome.

Mortenson is the only company that should be building this complex. Local, professional, and competent.

As usual the perenniel naysayers have to bleat and blog. The article was about the skills and competence of Mr. Wood who has the responsibility to bring this gigantic project to fruition within a very challenging budget of cost and time. As an experienced project manager in another field I have nothing but admiration and respect for what this man has done in the past and what he is challenged with on the Stadium Project. Harken back to what another superb project manager did a few years back when a replacement for the collapsed I-35 bridge had to be designed and built in record time. That effort was a fantastic success. Our society and civilization either moves forward or it rots in decay. It takes people like Mr. Wood to make these things happen. They naysayers and "againsters" add nothing to the growth. They are mental boat anchors.

Lot of people crab and complain, but just like Xcel Energy center, Target Field and TCF Bank Stadium, there don't seem to be too many complaints after they are built. I remember all the complainers when the Metrodome was built, but oh yeah, we never got our money's worth out of that boondoggle did we!!

I hope this stadium is built on time and within budget. Of all things, this stadium needs a roof (either a permanent or retrackable). I am really concerned how the Vikings will do playing outside for a couple of years - hope no one gets hurt like Farve did.

"I remember all the complainers when the Metrodome was built, but oh yeah, we never got our money's worth out of that boondoggle did we!"..............You mean the boondoggle that has blocked downtown development for 30 years, just like the new boondoggle will, northstars91?
