A study finds that moms with kids under 2 are given to distraction – driving tired, checking on baby, e-mailing.

So what is the solution? No women should be driving? That will be next. Can't you see how this phone addiction was created by design to make automatons of people. Turns them into mindless zombies. This includes people of all ages. Not just teens or women with children.

Young kids are tiring. They require a lot of attention. Who funds these studies of the obvious?

Talking on a cell phone while driving is as dangerous as drunk driving. Uh, no.

I guess it's not a coincidence then that I got in two car accidents when my twins were toddlers and working full time, after never having even been in as much as a fender bender at at any before or after (knock on wood). Maybe the study can just provide a heads up, and you might try to be more safe? My neck is still a mess from that era.

When you have young children give them your attention and stay off the phone, etc. You had children, now give up some of the "pleasures" you had when you did not. They grow up and THEN you can do what you want. Been there, done that.

I'm so glad I never had the desire to have to deal with car seats for children, hauling kids in and out of cars, and all that stuff that goes along with the "joys of parenting."

I saw a distracted mom this week. A car almost backed up over her kid in a parking lot while she was on the phone walking several feet behind her child.
