True. But if you have to lie about yourself in order to be accepted, then your life is just a lie. It sounds like his performance is about the emotional struggle between buying acceptance at the price of knowing that people only care about your fake shell, and risking scorn but knowing that the people who do accept you will honestly like YOU and not just the thing you pretend to be. Both of those options come with a price, and everyone has to decide on their own which option costs too much.

I am on the floor! This is just too funny. Thank you for the spoof of the navel gazing college crowd. Made my day! I too am trying to understand the nuances of my multifaceted cosmic life. Then I am going go have lunch to separate my existence from the turmoil of explaining why I am attracted to the opposite sex.
